About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver NZTA projects and work packages within agreed scope, time, quality and governance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal delivery teams, vendors, suppliers and customer stakeholders.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, delivery assurance and project administration.
  • Support financial tracking, billing inputs and commercial administration.
  • Lead project meetings, delivery reviews, stakeholder forums and project closure activities.
  • Manage project risks, issues, changes and dependencies throughout delivery.
  • Coordinate change and release activities, including planning and implementation readiness.
  • Prepare CAB/TCAB submissions, RFC documentation, communication and rollback plans.
  • Ensure deployment readiness, approvals and prerequisite activities are completed.
  • Maintain Jira, delivery trackers, dashboards and change records.
  • Coordinate outage communications, deployment notifications and post-implementation reporting.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least three years' project management experience within a technology environment.
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing technology projects or work packages.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, governance and reporting capability.
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, scope and delivery priorities.
  • Understanding of change governance, release management and CAB/TCAB processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, suppliers, technical and operational teams.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, Teams, SharePoint, Sentient or SAP.
  • Understanding of service transition, operational readiness and BAU handover.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and delivery assurance skills.
