About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting across the Technology and AI & Business Services portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust plans supported by clear commentary and insight into key drivers
  • Own the month-end close process for NetCo, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting across the P&L and balance sheet
  • Communicate month-end results to key stakeholders, including variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and recommendations to improve future performance
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand real-time business performance and maintain a clear, up-to-date financial outlook against budget
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Build strong working relationships across Finance, Technology, and AI & Business Services teams to promote alignment, transparency, and shared accountability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and insight
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to streamline and strengthen month-end processes, improving consistency and performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis, audit, or a similar role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • CAANZ qualification, or progress towards it, would be preferred
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business performance, with a strong foundation in financial and commercial thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed analysis into clear insights and recommendations for a range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively where needed
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and planning or reporting platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
  • Exposure to the telecommunications industry would be beneficial, but is not essential — we welcome candidates with strong core finance capability and a desire to grow their commercial knowledge.
