About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the monthly accounting close for assigned corporate G&A functions, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and close coordination
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables
- Coordinate close activities with business unit accounting teams for accurate consolidated financial statements
- Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational leaders to explain financial results and support budget and forecast discussions
- Own assigned balance sheet accounts and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Manage accounting for assigned corporate functions, including expense recognition, invoice processing, month-end accruals, employee travel, purchasing cards, and corporate expense programs
- Apply Controllership accounting policies and support new accounting standards and business initiatives
- Maintain internal controls, support audits, and participate in SOX compliance activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes through NetSuite and other financial systems
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned corporate functions
- Provide guidance, coaching, and review of junior accounting team members as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting processes
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, media, or other multi-entity organizations preferred
- Experience supporting audits and internal control environments preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
