About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the monthly accounting close for assigned corporate G&A functions, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and close coordination
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables
  • Coordinate close activities with business unit accounting teams for accurate consolidated financial statements
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational leaders to explain financial results and support budget and forecast discussions
  • Own assigned balance sheet accounts and maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Manage accounting for assigned corporate functions, including expense recognition, invoice processing, month-end accruals, employee travel, purchasing cards, and corporate expense programs
  • Apply Controllership accounting policies and support new accounting standards and business initiatives
  • Maintain internal controls, support audits, and participate in SOX compliance activities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes through NetSuite and other financial systems
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned corporate functions
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and review of junior accounting team members as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting processes
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, hospitality, media, or other multi-entity organizations preferred
  • Experience supporting audits and internal control environments preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
