About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, including licenses for on-premises software and cloud-hosted services, consulting agreements, and professional services agreements
- Coordinate with the Omnissa Deal Management Team and internal stakeholders
- Provide legal advice and support to Deal Management and Sales teams on modifications to standard terms and deal-related questions
- Use independent judgment to resolve routine matters and escalate novel or higher-risk issues to senior counsel
- Guide internal stakeholders on sales contract matters, including contract interpretation, customer concerns, and dispute resolution
- Collaborate with Americas colleagues, the global Omnissa Legal Team, and stakeholders across the company to support strategic goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified to practice law in a US jurisdiction
- Minimum 2 years of experience negotiating software and cloud services licensing agreements and related professional services agreements at a B2B company
- In-house experience in a United States-based technology company preferred but not required
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to communicate complex legal and commercial concepts clearly and concisely
- Ability to identify and mitigate legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to complex issues
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience using AI tools in daily legal work is a bonus
- Juris Doctor preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based immigration sponsorship is not available
