Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate fraud risk—particularly related to inter-company transactions, accounts payable, and credit card processing.
Reconcile the balance sheet and key income statement accounts in the general ledger.
Prepare consolidated trial balances across multiple entities for use in the preparation of audited financial statements.
Apply advanced knowledge of consolidation and special purpose entity (SPE) accounting.
Oversee and manage the external audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits across entities.
Manage compliance with property, sales, and use tax obligations across various jurisdictions.
Prepare and deliver financial reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and banking partners as required.
Maintain expertise in partnership accounting and related reporting standards.
Monitor and implement new accounting standards, ensuring timely compliance and integration into current practices.
Manage and develop a team of 6–8 accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Oversee fixed asset management, including system implementation and reconciliation of asset records.
Collaborate with the FP&A team to support quarterly forecasting processes.
Partner with the Supply Chain team to coordinate inventory and cycle counts, reconciling results to the general ledger.
Conduct technical research on complex accounting issues and prepare related documentation.
Reconcile bank accounts and corporate credit card accounts on a regular basis.
Work closely with external tax service providers on compliance, tax provisions, and filings.
Support M&A and debt financing initiatives by providing key accounting insight and analysis.
Collaborate with Tax, Legal, and Treasury teams on capitalizations, inter-company loans, cash settlements, and tax equity partner funding operations.
Contribute to special accounting and finance-related projects as assigned.
Ensure compliance with bank covenants and tax equity agreements, including timely submission of collateral and performance reporting.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting and finance departments through system optimization and process refinement.
Provide strategic support and assistance to Finance leadership as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline; CPA certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with prior leadership or supervisory roles.
Public accounting experience, ideally with a Big 4 or top-tier firm, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
Proven ability to manage complex problems, prioritize under pressure, and apply creative thinking to identify effective solutions.
Proficient in financial reporting, analysis, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Experience with Google Suite and strong Excel skills required.
Ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Willingness to complete all steps of the pre-employment screening process.
