About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise in the sales process and beyond, helping uncover and prove out use cases to showcase the value of the Omni platform.
- Lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (POCs) as part of the evaluation process, enabling prospective customers on how to successfully use Omni on their data.
- Smoothly transition trials into successful customers by partnering with post-sales teams and engaging with our partners to plan for ongoing support where needed.
- Mentor junior Solutions Engineers and help raise the bar on discovery, demo, and POC quality across the team.
- Collaborate extensively with Product, Design, and Engineering to provide user feedback and guide product direction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7-10 years of experience in enterprise pre-sales business intelligence or data analytics and focused on net new logo acquisition (for ex. Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture roles).
- B2B saas pre-sales experience required.
- Deep expertise with the modern data stack, including cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift), transformation tools (e.g. dbt), and the broader analytics ecosystem.
- Proven experience leading technical discovery, product demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and technical evaluations with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong SQL skills, using SQL for analytics.
- Exceptional, consultative communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prior experience with business intelligence and/or enterprise data analytics tools preferred (such as Looker, Omni, Tableau, PowerBI, Mode, Sisense, etc).
