About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing ongoing management, review and oversight of part of the existing portfolio of funded cases in the German speaking jurisdictions
First-level assessment of potential merits of litigation funding opportunities, in which you will work closely with lawyers and claimants seeking funding
Undertaking analysis of relevant legal issues or other issues as directed
Conducting legal and factual due diligence on prospective funding opportunities and supporting the underwriting process
Engaging with Omni colleagues across global offices on investment opportunities and company matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

Law degree and, preferably, admitted to practice
Minimum 2 years post qualification litigation experience, specifically relating to German litigation
Fluent in German and English
Knowledge of the German courts and litigation process
An understanding of (or a willingness to acquire an understanding of) financial reporting and the ability to financially analyze public and private companies and trust structures
