Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and maintain robust integrations via API (REST/SOAP) with webservices from various municipal governments across Brazil.
Architect and optimize batch billing routines, ensuring efficient asynchronous processing, queue handling, resilience to network failures and intelligent retries.
Work extensively with SQL Server databases. Analyze execution plans, optimize heavy queries, create/adjust indexes and ensure the database supports high daily issuance volumes without bottlenecks.
Translate complex municipal tax legislation into application logic and take a leading role in adapting our ERP to new scenarios and the impacts of the Tax Reform on service sales.
Investigate and resolve complex integration issues in production, mapping performance bottlenecks or communication failures with external servers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

PHP Seniority: Minimum of 5 years of proven and exclusive experience in PHP programming, with the ability to write clean, scalable and maintainable code.
Integration Expertise: Deep experience with consuming and building APIs, handling complex payloads (JSON/XML) and communication patterns with government webservices.
SQL Server Mastery: Advanced knowledge beyond CRUD. Mandatory ability to optimize slow queries, understand data modeling and indexing strategies for tables with millions of records.
Business and Taxation Knowledge: Proven experience with NFS-e billing, municipal tax rules (ISS, withholdings) and a clear understanding of how the Tax Reform affects service delivery scenarios.
Cloud Architecture: Practical knowledge and prior experience working with cloud architectures and services to ensure scalability and high availability.
AI-assisted Development: Hands-on experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to support programming (e.g., Gemini CLI, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.), aimed at increasing productivity, performing code reviews and pair-programming with AI.
Best Practices and Versioning: Thorough mastery of Git and GitHub for version control, CI/CD pipelines and code review.
