About the role
- Develop and evolve C/C++ code with a focus on performance and robustness
- Work with concurrency control, threads, and memory management
- Perform profiling and performance optimizations
- Work with high-volume relational databases (SQL Server)
- Propose architectural improvements for scalability and efficiency
- Evaluate and optimize the use of AWS services to improve cost/performance
- Contribute to structural technical decisions for the layer
Requirements
- Proven strong experience with C/C++
- Experience with high-load, highly concurrent backend applications
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL Server)
- Experience in performance analysis and optimization
- Experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Knowledge of Harbour or xHarbour (a plus)
- Experience with EC2, RDS, SQS, Lambda, and S3 (a plus)
- Experience with legacy systems and incremental modernization (a plus)
- Experience with usage analysis and cost optimization in the cloud (a plus)
- Experience in critical transactional environments (a plus)
