About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Become technically proficient in OMICRON products and solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and foster customer relationships as required for assigned accounts and segments
  • Manage and support manufacturers representatives in the Southeast Territory, including training, forecasting and evaluation of performance
  • Coordinate customer visits and activities, make presentations, demonstrate products, technologies, and test methodologies, and provide post-sale customer support
  • Participate in business development, market evaluation, and sales forecasting
  • Record and maintain all customer meetings, leads, opportunities, and activities per the OMICRON Sales process incorporating the CRM (customer relationship management) system
  • Communicate routinely with OMICRON Sales managers and stakeholders, share customer and market data, and report status at team meetings
  • Coordinate promotional activities, and participation at conferences, user meetings, seminars, and local exhibits
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager – North America (East)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in power systems, especially in the field of power system protection or high voltage apparatus.
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in selling testing equipment, instrumentation, or apparatus for the electric power industry.
  • Technical knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems and the various apparatus used within these systems.
  • Technical knowledge of testing methodologies and maintenance practices used to assure a continuous and reliable power system.
  • Excellent written, speech, presentation, and negotiating skills required.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office – especially Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to travel domestically (up to 50%); international travel may be required.
