About the role

  • Become technically proficient in OMICRON products and solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and foster customer relationships as required for assigned accounts and segments.
  • Coordinate customer visits and activities, make presentations, demonstrate products, technologies, and test methodologies.
  • Provide post-sale customer support.
  • Participate in business development, market evaluation, and sales forecasting.
  • Record and maintain all customer meetings, leads, opportunities, and activities per the OMICRON Sales process.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in power systems, especially in the field of power system protection or high voltage apparatus. NETA Level IV is a plus
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in selling testing equipment, instrumentation, or apparatus for the electric power industry
  • Participation in international, national, regional, and local conferences, exhibits, or seminars.
  • Technical knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Technical knowledge of testing methodologies and maintenance practices.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office – especially Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, speech, presentation, and negotiating skills required.
  • Able to travel domestically (up to 50%); international travel may be required.
