About the role

  • Administer, monitor and further develop our clients' firewall systems
  • Implement secure network infrastructures
  • Review, optimize and harden IT environments with a focus on IT security
  • Design and operate secure, highly available network architectures for enterprises
  • Provide comprehensive consulting on IT security topics and develop security strategies
  • Support during incidents and outages, handle security incidents, and provide 2nd-/3rd-level support

Requirements

  • Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or equivalent qualification
  • Practical experience in building and operating modern networks including routing, switching, VLANs and network segmentation
  • In-depth experience with firewall and network technologies (e.g., Fortinet, Sophos, HPE Aruba, or Ubiquiti)
  • Experience in user and system support
  • Solid knowledge in the use of IT security solutions (e.g., next-gen endpoint protection, firewalls and monitoring tools)
  • Very good knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN/IPsec etc.)
