About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the IT support team in their daily activities
  • Actively contribute to fast, effective, and high-quality IT support
  • Assist the team with first-level support and help manage simple requests, escalating to team members or external vendors when necessary
  • Participate in the installation, configuration, and basic maintenance of workstation hardware and software
  • Assist users in getting started with IT tools and help ensure their proper day-to-day use
  • Contribute to post-incident analysis by helping identify potential causes and documenting corrective actions
  • Help update information related to major incidents and support communication within the IT team
  • Propose improvement ideas to increase productivity and user satisfaction
  • Help enforce IT standards and best practices within the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Seeking a Pre-HES internship as part of enrollment in the Bachelor's in Computer Science and Communication Systems at HEPIA / HEIG-VD — internship is mandatory for the academic program; an internship agreement is required
  • Strong interest in IT and computer systems, with an interest in user/customer contact; prior experience (school projects, internships, student jobs, or personal projects) related to IT and/or user support is an asset
  • Fluent French (minimum C1) with a good level of technical English
