About the role
- Lead the consolidation of the Surgical Business monthly results, including preparation of Business Reviews and in-depth analytics around results and projected full P/L forecasts.
- Drive financial analysis and strategic insights as needed at the sub-BU and Consolidated BU level in support of senior finance and business unit leadership.
- Prepare consolidated Surgical Annual Plan roll-ups and budgeting, as well as develop presentations for Long Term Strategic Planning, processes, and review material for both the larger BU as well as sub-BUs as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of Global Divisional activities focused on annual Plan, Long Range Plan, as well as monthly close and forecasting activities.
- Fill in for Business Unit or process coverage when needed seamlessly across the divisional finance team.
- Perform critical-thinking to drive accuracy of SIS financial reporting of figures and related drivers.
- Own and manage of the weekly forecast process and aggregation of materials for the division including financial tie outs and preparation of the presentation material for senior leadership (includes EORT, control boards, KPIs).
- Work at the division level to provide enhanced insight around Pricing and Mix across regions and BUs and identify areas to target for improved profitability for the division.
- Direct and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual budget / forecast cycles globally related to the SIS P&L, and in close partnership SIS Finance team, Regional and Cross-Functional Finance teams.
- Develop presentations for SIS Business Unit Leadership team and SIS Executive Committee that enable clear and concise understanding of the financial story.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant financial experience, preferably in a large global company with matrix organization.
- Must possess sound financial management competence and business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to persuasively influence all levels of the organization.
- Innovative with a strong sense of initiative.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and influencing process and organizational change.
- Must have strong PC Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must demonstrate strategic thinking as well as the willingness to lead initiatives through implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced ever-changing and evolving work environment.
- Preferred experience with global (Multi-National) organizations and financial systems.
- Experience in SAP, Oracle and/or Hyperion preferred.
