About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide excellent customer service using OMC’s C.A.R.E. standards
Process, authorize, and schedule provider orders as necessary
Coordinate diagnostic testing and medical care across multiple internal and external departments
Participate in obtaining prior authorization when necessary
Coordinate health information between departments and caregivers under applicable HIPAA laws
Use electronic repositories to exchange secure health information and insurance coverage data
Document patient care promptly and according to electronic health record documentation standards
Help patients navigate the health care system according to the provider’s plan of care

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates Degree in healthcare or business preferred
Two years of experience working in a health care setting required
Demonstrated excellence in customer service and patient care skills required
Prior experience with insurance authorizations preferred
Prior experience with Epic preferred
Understanding of authorization processes
HIPAA-compliant handling of health information
