About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide specialized occupational therapy services primarily to adult and geriatric patients in their homes
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans
Implement therapeutic interventions
Provide home safety recommendations
Improve patients’ quality of life and maximize functional abilities
Ensure home safety and promote patient independence
Consult and coordinate with the home health interdisciplinary team and other medical professionals regarding comprehensive plans of care
Travel to patient residences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program required
One-year Occupational Therapy experience providing rehabilitation therapy to a variety of patients including the elderly required
Experience in home health or geriatric setting preferred
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington required
Current BLS certification required
Valid Washington State driver’s license required
Proof of insurance on automobile used for work required
Driving record in compliance with OMC standards required
Must have computer internet connectivity
Must have reliable automobile transportation to travel to patient residences
