About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide specialized occupational therapy services primarily to adult and geriatric patients in their homes
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions
- Provide home safety recommendations
- Improve patients’ quality of life and maximize functional abilities
- Ensure home safety and promote patient independence
- Consult and coordinate with the home health interdisciplinary team and other medical professionals regarding comprehensive plans of care
- Travel to patient residences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program required
- One-year Occupational Therapy experience providing rehabilitation therapy to a variety of patients including the elderly required
- Experience in home health or geriatric setting preferred
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid Washington State driver’s license required
- Proof of insurance on automobile used for work required
- Driving record in compliance with OMC standards required
- Must have computer internet connectivity
- Must have reliable automobile transportation to travel to patient residences
