About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides excellent customer service by employing OMC’s C.A.R.E. standards
- Ensures providers orders are processed, authorized, and scheduled as necessary
- Works with multiple departments to coordinate diagnostic testing and medical care
- Responsible for understanding the authorization process and obtaining prior authorization
- Coordinates health information between departments and caregivers under HIPAA laws
- Documents patient care into electronic health record in a timely manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associates Degree in healthcare or business preferred
- Two years of experience working in a health care setting
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and patient care skills
- Prior experience with insurance authorizations and Epic preferred
