About the role

  • Lead the Data Science aspects in the Motors chapter.
  • Mentor and manage a team of 5 brilliant people (Data Scientists / MLEs).
  • Partner with Motors Product, Tech and Business teams to get support for innovation.
  • Find opportunities where Data Science can make a huge impact.
  • Scale out existing ML models and GenAI applications.
  • Help to translate business requirements into Machine Learning / GenAI projects.
  • Track and measure the impact of your models on company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate across functions: SRE, Data Engineering, Product Analytics, Product teams.
  • Work in multi-functional teams in a diverse, multinational environment.

Requirements

  • Based in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
  • Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills!
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Able to work in diverse, multi-functional teams with people from different backgrounds.
  • Experience in managing Data Science teams.
  • Very strong analytical skills.
  • Solid background in statistics and modeling.
  • Good knowledge of Python (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas).
  • At least 4 years of (hands-on) experience with Machine Learning.
  • Very good knowledge of NLP and Deep Learning (Embeddings, Language Models, Transformers).
  • Good knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Good understanding of engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, containers.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL.
  • Experience with MLOps will be a plus.
