About the role

  • Perform end-to-end data preparation, including sourcing, cleaning, and transforming data using ETL processes to create analysis-ready datasets.
  • Analyze datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, answer key business questions, and generate actionable insights for the finance team.
  • Design, build, and maintain clear and compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with finance partners to tackle well-defined business problems, providing data-driven recommendations under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist in documenting data pipelines and assets, and work with the team to identify opportunities for improving data quality and process efficiency.
  • Contribute to time series analysis and modeling
  • Apply your understanding of core financial concepts to support the daily operational needs of the finance department, from reporting to ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role (candidates with a relevant Master's degree but without professional experience are also encouraged to apply)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience creating reports and dashboards with a data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience with data transformation and ETL processes.
  • A solid foundational understanding of core financial concepts and metrics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow) and version control (e.g., Git) is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
