About the role
- Assist with the design efforts for federal projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
- Coordinate with experienced engineers and designers.
- Gain exposure to federal standards such as UFC, DoD, and VA requirements.
- Enhance skills in design and modeling software.
- Provide small-scale design elements for federal engineering projects using standard techniques and established methods.
- Perform basic plan production and technical tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Develop and apply knowledge and experience in designing and modeling software for engineering solutions.
- Assist with project schedules, engineering calculations, and preparation of construction documents.
- Gather research, recommend solutions, and create drafts of technical reports.
- Gain experience with creating and maintaining project and client information within the firm’s project management system.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
- Possesses Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
- Working knowledge (or ability to become proficient) in relevant technologies (e.g., Civil 3D).
