About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in the support of production application software
Frequently analyze and define client data conversion, interface, report, bolt-on and application enhancement requirements
Frequently develop code to a high standard of quality to support functional and technical requirements
Write or contribute to technical specifications based on functional requirements
Create and execute Unit Test Plans to capture and demonstrate successful development
Work in accordance with defect and issue tracking processes
Create and contribute to Release Notes, package deliverables, and coordinate with team lead
Assist with work estimation and preliminary requirement analysis
Work within a team structure in accordance with established deliverable dates
Frequently attend and contribute to project team meetings
Infrequently travel to global destinations for development consultant capacity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of development and/or systems integration experience preferred
3+ years in the Retail industry or an associated Retail IT field preferred
Previous consulting experience
Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
Good knowledge of Pro*C, Unix Shell Script
Good to have technical knowledge of “Forms, Reports, BIP & OBIEE”
Preferred Qualifications: Oracle Retail RMS, Oracle Retail ReSA, RIB, RPM (an added advantage)
