About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain supplier approval records, ingredient documentation, and compliance records
- Partner with Procurement, R&D, and Regulatory teams on supplier onboarding, vendor approvals, ingredient changes, and supplier quality initiatives
- Evaluate suppliers and ingredients using risk-based assessments and implement controls, monitoring activities, and preventative measures
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance metrics, identify trends and risks, and support corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Prepare and maintain supplier performance scorecards and support supplier performance reviews
- Conduct supplier quality investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, documentation review, and follow-up
- Build and maintain supplier relationships through communication, issue resolution, and supplier quality program support
- Visit supplier facilities as necessary to verify systems and facilities meet OLIPOP quality standards
- Review ingredient specifications, Certificates of Analysis, and supporting documentation for ingredient releases and compliance
- Maintain ingredient documentation, including handling matrices, hazard analyses, and internal specifications
- Support ingredient shelf-life extension evaluations through documentation review, data analysis, and testing
- Maintain an ingredient retains library for traceability, quality investigations, and compliance
- Perform ingredient testing and evaluation for supplier approvals, shelf-life evaluations, investigations, and continuous improvement
- Develop, update, maintain, organize, and archive SOPs, job aids, work instructions, forms, and other controlled documentation
- Review relevant SOPs regularly with stakeholders for completeness and accuracy
- Report to the Quality Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of quality assurance, supplier quality, quality systems, food safety, and/or related experience within the food and beverage industry
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, including ingredient specifications, COAs, supplier documentation, and quality systems records
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Transparent, open/honest communication and ability to work independently while keeping team members informed
- Strong written communication and ability to provide clear status updates and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and deadline orientation, with ability to organize assignments, set priorities, and carry out plans
- Supplier quality experience preferred
- Prior Google Workspace experience preferred
- Experience developing and implementing document control processes nice-to-have
- Experience using supplier compliance software such as FoodLogiQ nice-to-have
