About the role
- Oversee product portfolio operations, including P&L performance, player participation, and brand tracking against budget and quarterly forecasts to deliver on enterprise objectives.
- Own the development and execution of annual product plans, including budgets, forecasts, operational plans, business cases, and supporting materials such as business plans and lottery initiative contracts.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and enterprise champion for the assigned product portfolio, providing strategic advice and direction across the organization.
- Lead end‑to‑end product development from idea generation to launch, including game concepts, prize structures, artwork, timelines, testing, and execution of new market initiatives.
- Develop and manage revenue targets, quarterly sales forecasts, and marketing spend by brand and initiative, monitoring performance and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Lead communication and marketing strategy by defining business objectives, target audiences, channel mix, promotional approach, and time‑in‑market, including media budgeting and agency collaboration.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new marketing, product, and channel opportunities, guiding research to test concepts, enhancements, and line extensions using insights, past launches, and industry learnings.
- Drive cross‑enterprise collaboration with Research and Insights, Business Design, Finance, Operations, Corporate Affairs, vendors, agencies, and ILC partners to deliver projects on time and continuously improve product and brand performance.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to operate and lead effectively in complex, multi‑disciplined environments, collaborating across technology, product development and design, marketing, promotion, merchandising, advertising, PR, market research, and sales and retail channels.
- Expertise in lottery product and marketing, including hands‑on experience designing prize structures, developing and executing end‑to‑end marketing roadmaps and campaigns, and applying strong consumer insights (psychographic, demographic, and behavioral) to drive performance across the Ontario marketplace.
- Experience with broadcast media and print production, consumer and retailer promotions, and end‑to‑end budget and agency management.
- Awareness of consumer and technology trends, supported by proficiency in business and productivity tools including PowerBI, Kanbanize, Miro, IMS, Microsoft Office, and Notes databases.
