About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow Old Republic Title’s network of business partners throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia
  • Manage selected existing title agency partners
  • Develop new business relationships and expand market presence
  • Connect proactively with prospective partners through office visits, networking events, industry associations and other outreach activities
  • Cultivate a new customer base of agents through marketing activities
  • Develop strategies to retain existing agents, increase their business and/or wallet share
  • Enhance Old Republic Title’s market presence
  • Respond to agent service issues responsively and timely
  • Collaborate with management to achieve profitability and market share objectives
  • Help create new and innovative products and services for customers
  • Participate in state land title association and other trade organizations
  • Stay current on title insurance issues affecting state operations
  • Maintain knowledge of company and competitor services and products
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Complete mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must reside in Maryland
  • Ability to travel throughout Maryland
  • Experience in sales, business development, financial services, real estate, customer relations, or other relationship-focused roles encouraged
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, decision-making and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license, sufficient insurance and good driving record, free of major traffic violations and convictions for moving violations
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meeting prescribed deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative
  • Clear, grammatically correct and business-appropriate written and verbal communications
  • Ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback
  • Business entertainment during and after business hours as needed
  • Some business travel required
