About the role
- Responsible for agent audits and recertifications in an assigned region in accordance with industry regulations and company requirements.
- Ensure that agent operations, escrow processes, and underwriting practices align with the agent's contract and Agency Administration Manual.
- Conduct agent audits of title and escrow operations, including file reviews, disbursement procedures, accounting controls, and underwriting practices.
- Review all internal data for recertification of agents.
- Update the company database with assessment results.
- Evaluate compliance with ALTA Best Practices, state regulations, and company policies.
- Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas of potential risk.
- Provide direction to agent to assist in putting appropriate plans in place to create or correct deficiencies found in the audit.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for process improvement and issue audit reports to agents and Management with the proper distribution lists.
- Collaborate with the team to develop the audit schedule.
- Stay current on changes in title insurance laws, escrow regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on outstanding issues when tasked.
Requirements
- Comply with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines.
- Be dependable, reliable, and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.
- Have the ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
