About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the architectural vision and strategy for the Risk and Finance domains
- Define and maintain baseline and future-state domain architecture and roadmaps
- Identify and reduce architectural risk and maintain domain compliance
- Translate finance and risk policies into architectural guidelines and technical solutions
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory frameworks, security controls, risk policies, and data governance
- Advise on Regulatory Reporting, Financial Risk Management, Accounting and General Ledger systems, and compliance and audit requirements
- Design scalable, secure, and integrated solutions using platforms such as Oracle Financial Services
- Lead API and microservices integration across finance and risk systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to guide implementation and preserve architectural integrity
- Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors on strategic architecture goals
- Provide consulting and thought leadership on domain-specific challenges and trends
- Mentor system architects and developers
- Collaborate across domains such as Payments and Trade Finance
- Advise the CFO and Finance department as a trusted IT advisor
- Align data, solution, business, and security architectures
- Govern domain architecture artifacts, reviews, submissions, and the domain decision registry
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8–12 years in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in architecture roles
- Deep understanding of finance and risk processes, systems, and regulations
- Experience with SaaS, private/public cloud, and data platforms
- Strong engineering background with ability to produce structured documentation and visualizations
- Familiarity with accounting principles and data-driven finance architectures
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks
- Strong end-to-end cloud knowledge and experience, especially AWS and Azure
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- Certifications in enterprise architecture such as TOGAF, cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, or financial systems
- Experience with Oracle, Python, and service-oriented architectures
