About the role
- Provide advice on a specific range of financial products to an allocated market and be individually accountable for achieving results
- Provide a quality service to customers, process cases, deal with complex queries, and investigate and resolve customer problems
- Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions
- Receive visitors and assist with information requests, referring complex matters to colleagues
- Enter relevant information into the CRM system, schedule follow-ups and create call plans to support retention and business development
- Set clear objectives for sales calls, tailor presentations to decision-makers and gather customer information to evaluate interest
- Develop and implement relationship management and prospecting plans to build relationships with decision‑makers and influencers
- Ensure operational compliance with organisational policies, regulatory codes and codes of conduct; obtain authorisation for exceptions where required
- Monitor and assess sales and market data for geographic regions to identify business development opportunities
- Represent the organisation at business sector events to obtain market intelligence and enhance visibility
- Conduct research and use business intelligence tools to analyse key themes and trends
- Participate in and contribute to a network of people, technologies, and ideas inside and outside the company
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- FAIS Compliance (NQF Level 5 FSCA Approved Qualification)
- NQF Level 5 - Higher, Advance or Occupational Certificate or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s licence and Own Car
- Clear criminal and credit check
- Minimum of 3 years working experience (preferably in sales)
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Presentation skills an added advantage
