Senior Administrator – Death Benefit, Payment Authoriser

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Attend to the duties by complying with the provisions of the Pension Funds Act and the Rules of the Retirement Fund
- Apply ability to understand, interpret and apply various pieces of legislation to sets of facts
- Apply ability to interrogate information to enable payment
- Ensure consistent compliant process execution through the exercise of discretion and sound judgment with regards to payments
- Apply sound and defensible reasoning
- Maintain a tight case management audit trail in respect of all duties performed (which includes formal report compilation for each case)
- Perform ad hoc tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Matric
- Minimum of 5 years’ working experience with SuperFund and/or Protektor claims
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) interactive skills
- Strong delivery focus
- Ability and desire to understand and practically apply legislation and SOP’s
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Email Systems
- Working knowledge of Old Mutual internal systems (Chorus, Hyphen, DHA, Compass, EMS, EB Tax, etc.)
- Must display excellent planning and organising skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
