About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Model and train staff in Positive Behavior Support methodology
Serve on Interdisciplinary Teams, providing behavioral expertise
Assess, design, train, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans
Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses
Provide behavior analytic interpretations of assessment results
Deliver direct behavioral treatment, including replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and skills coaching
Monitor restraint use and provide training to reduce it
Monitor challenging behavior
Participate in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other assigned committees
Provide individualized services to specialty intermediate care clinic patients
Meet applicable requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics
Learn and follow all policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must obtain Virginia licensure
Must have afternoon/evening hours available
Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to make independent decisions with good judgment and attention to detail
Ability to participate in and demonstrate knowledge of approved crisis management procedures
Ability to record and enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively, consistent with Oakwood requirements
Must meet applicable requirements of 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics
