About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performing rigorous mechanical analyses across all levels of fidelity, from hand calculations and textbook formulas to highly detailed Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Evaluating structural performance for stress, creep, fatigue, vibration, temperature limits, and other failure modes
  • Interpreting and applying relevant engineering standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ASCE, AISC) to establish appropriate design limits and acceptance criteria
  • Developing clear, concise, and technically sound documentation of engineering methodologies, analysis results, and design justifications
  • Summarizing mechanical analysis results in written documents and presentation slides, translating complex data into concise summaries of key findings (e.g., peak stresses, safety margins) and actionable design revision recommendations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering to drive design decisions and ensure robust product development
  • Supporting the creation and refinement of product requirements
  • Planning and executing validation and verification activities, including designing and overseeing physical test programs to validate engineering assumptions and design requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, materials)
  • 4+ years of industry experience performing mechanical or structural analysis within sectors such as energy, aerospace, automotive, defense, industrial machinery, or advanced manufacturing
  • Proven experience in structural analysis using FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL)
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive technical documentation and reports
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
