About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and ship frontend features across Vue-based embeddable widgets and shopper-facing components, Angular-based merchant admin tools, and React-based Shopify integrations
Design, develop, and implement software solutions with product, design, and backend engineering
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript
Break down complex problems into scoped tasks, estimate, plan, and deliver them
Own features end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring
Participate in system design and evolve frontend architecture as the platform scales
Mentor engineers, review code, and raise technical standards
Collaborate with backend engineers to design performant APIs and data flows
Develop, test, and deploy software solutions
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and communicate project updates
Evaluate and integrate technical solutions into the existing system
Participate in team discussions, system design, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional experience building production frontend applications
Strong hands-on experience with at least one of Vue, Angular, or React, with ability to ramp quickly across the other two
Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
Track record of shipping high-quality, tested, maintainable frontend code in a team environment
Comfort working across a full serverless stack, including APIs, event-driven services, and cloud infrastructure
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions with appropriate guidance, and know when to ask for help
Experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, and SQS/SNS (nice to have)
Experience building embeddable widgets or SDKs for third-party sites such as Shopify storefronts (nice to have)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (nice to have)
Prior experience at an e-commerce, martech, or Shopify-ecosystem company (nice to have)
