About the role

  • Work closely with mining clients and technical teams on diverse projects
  • Promote health and safety by actively participating in related standards and initiatives
  • Apply advanced geotechnical principles to develop innovative problem-solving approaches
  • Participate in numerical modelling programs to assess geotechnical stability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical aspects into project designs
  • Plan and complete field investigations to support tailings and mine projects
  • Review and interpret laboratory and monitoring data to support design

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Geotechnical (Civil or Geological) Engineering or similar discipline is required
  • Experience in geological sciences and field investigations
  • Demonstrated experience in tailings management, including initial assessment, modelling and design
  • Holds RPEQ designation or is eligible to obtain it
  • Experience and aptitude for multidisciplinary work and dynamic team environments
  • Proficiency in modelling software and relevant software packages such as GeoStudio
