About the role
- Work closely with mining clients and technical teams on diverse projects
- Promote health and safety by actively participating in related standards and initiatives
- Apply advanced geotechnical principles to develop innovative problem-solving approaches
- Participate in numerical modelling programs to assess geotechnical stability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical aspects into project designs
- Plan and complete field investigations to support tailings and mine projects
- Review and interpret laboratory and monitoring data to support design
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Geotechnical (Civil or Geological) Engineering or similar discipline is required
- Experience in geological sciences and field investigations
- Demonstrated experience in tailings management, including initial assessment, modelling and design
- Holds RPEQ designation or is eligible to obtain it
- Experience and aptitude for multidisciplinary work and dynamic team environments
- Proficiency in modelling software and relevant software packages such as GeoStudio
