Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, budget, and oversee evaluation, selection, implementation, operation, and performance of technologies and third-party vendors within the specialty area
Focus on operational capabilities, performance, and resiliency while contributing to or leading technology strategy and business planning
Manage outcomes delivered by third-party suppliers and own relationships with internal customers in OhioHealth business units and service lines
Manage daily operational activities and implement tactical plans for multiple IT components/processes
Coordinate crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, capacity management, and other ITIL processes
Develop and sometimes lead technology strategy and roadmaps, including infrastructure technology standards
Analyze, plan, justify, schedule, and coordinate specialty-area administrative, operational, and financial initiatives, including TCO, optimization, and efficiency
Oversee supplier reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting for quality and performance
Plan, monitor, and control operating and capital budgets for assigned responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
8 years of technical engineering experience
Participation in process improvement or project work
Subject matter expertise in specialized technologies supporting clinical operations and information systems
Project management and process excellence with a strong analytical, data-driven approach to problem solving
Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership
Advanced knowledge of IT technologies including endpoint devices, servers, security, network, storage, and telecom
In-depth knowledge of Cisco and Juniper wired and wireless technologies, including Cisco Prime and Juniper Mist Edge
Experience with SD-WAN, IP routing, switching, and ancillary network technologies
Ability to design and document complex systems with scalability, performance, and maintainability considerations
Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions
Excellent communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts
Extensive experience developing network architecture and enterprise-level IT projects, preferably in healthcare
Proven track record leading technical initiatives and delivering successful solutions
Demonstrated ability to influence technology decisions and guide teams toward optimal architecture solutions
Must be eligible to work from Ohio
