About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engineer, implement, optimize, and manage the lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure platforms
  • Modernize enterprise storage and backup platforms
  • Perform platform engineering, lifecycle management, capacity planning, monitoring, and system resilience activities
  • Develop infrastructure technology standards and contribute to strategic planning and roadmaps
  • Provide technical direction, oversight, and escalation support to operational support teams
  • Coordinate with infrastructure architects, engineers, enterprise architects, application teams, operations teams, and vendor partners
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal customers and third-party vendors
  • Support crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, capacity management, and other ITIL processes
  • Analyze, plan, justify, schedule, and coordinate specialty-area administrative, operational, and financial initiatives
  • Manage TCO, optimization, and efficiency initiatives
  • Oversee supplier reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting
  • Plan, monitor, and control operating and capital budgets
  • Perform duties with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Eight years of experience in a technical engineering role
  • Technical engineering experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Experience with storage and backup platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of IT technologies including endpoint devices, servers, security, network, storage, and telecom
  • Experience participating in process improvement or project work
  • Knowledge of Dell PowerScale, Dell PowerStore, Cohesity, Pure Storage, Cisco MDS SAN, and hybrid cloud infrastructure preferred
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret business drivers
  • Project management and process excellence with a strong analytical, data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to drive people, process, and technology changes
  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of regulatory and contractual compliance beneficial
  • Experience leading large, complex projects across multiple functional departments beneficial
  • Experience in a complex healthcare organization beneficial
