About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Stock medical supplies, linen, and equipment for clinical staff at Shelby Hospital
  • Break down and stage unit-specific products according to schedule
  • Validate products and quantities received using pack slips/license plates
  • Deliver and replenish supplies, linens, and equipment to designated areas
  • Complete STAT orders within requester timelines
  • Safely move materials using powered and manual handling devices
  • Place unit/location-specific orders using handheld technology and predetermined inventory methods
  • Travel between sites when working in the Freestanding Emergency Department Network
  • Report errors and discrepancies through the appropriate chain of command
  • Rotate products and manage expiration dates
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow cleaning schedules
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions and computer skills
  • Must understand financial impacts related to supply chain functions
  • Must be able to work in a moderately paced, ever-changing environment
  • Must communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience
  • 1 year warehouse experience
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, word processor software, and organization systems/applications including Workday, Microsoft Teams, and EPIC
  • Ability to use powered and manual material-handling devices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and information security
  • Ability to work day shift and travel between sites when working in the Freestanding Emergency Department Network
