About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and document current business processes and workflows
- Identify system requirements and translate them into detailed specifications
- Design and implement solutions to improve system efficiency and user experience
- Provide advanced support for Epic, Workday, UKG, and other applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for system upgrades and patches
- Integrate healthcare applications across the IT portfolio with other IT systems
- Manage smaller projects related to system implementations and upgrades
- Lead project teams using project management methodologies
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices
- Ensure seamless integration between healthcare applications
- Manage data integrity and security across systems
- Perform data analysis and generate reports as needed
- Liaise with managed service providers, vendors, and operational leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Support safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
- In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment
- Extensive experience with Epic, Workday, and UKG applications
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with system integration and data migration projects
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience liaising with managed service providers, vendors, and operational leadership
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- ITIL Foundation certification desired, not required
- Certifications in relevant technologies such as Epic, Workday, Microsoft, or UKG
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
- Experience in a large healthcare system or hospital setting
- Experience with other healthcare applications and systems
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools
