About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize evidence-based nutrition care to assess and reassess patient nutrition risk and identify nutrition needs
- Develop parental and enteral feeding regimes
- Create and implement nutrition protocols
- Provide nutrition counseling to patients and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary interaction and education
- Coordinate nutrition therapy with physicians and other health care professionals
- Educate and train interdisciplinary team members, students, and interns
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to medical nutrition therapy
- Document accurately and completely
- Comply with all regulatory standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Years of Experience: 1 (Required)
- Registered, Licensed Dietitian with at least two or more years' experience in the acute care setting
- Advanced degree and/or certification (CNSD, CDE, CNCP) may be desired
- Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills
- Effective time management skills/organization
- Able to communicate effectively in English in-person, in writing, and on the telephone
- Basic computer skills.
