Office Specialist – Endocrinology

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides receptionist/clerical support assuring patient flow, comfort and satisfaction.
- Answers phones utilizing a computerized system and directs calls appropriately.
- Schedules patient appointments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Completes patient registration and insurance verification.
- Collects patient insurance co-payments and establishes patient payment plans.
- Works electronic medical record work queues to correct registration errors.
- Updates patient chart and obtains patient signatures on necessary documents.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or GED (Required)
- 1-2 years previous secretarial Experience in health care or medical office or one to two years related Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of and Experience
- Good communication skills
- Strong computer knowledge and skills.
