About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
  • Provide related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
  • Collect patient health data and analyze the data to determine diagnoses
  • Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient
  • Develop plans of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
  • Implement interventions identified in plans of care
  • Evaluate patient progress toward attainment of outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
  • Perform professional nursing work, including patient care, according to physicians’ direction and organizational objectives and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE- or ACEN-accredited nursing program
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
  • CPR/BLS certified
  • Knowledge of triage procedures
  • Clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of procedures and standards for administering medications and patient care aids
  • Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and families about disease, care, and treatment
  • Ability to convey information in writing and verbally
  • High interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential situations
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
