About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
- Collect patient health data and analyze to determine diagnoses and identify expected outcomes
- Develop a plan of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
- Implement interventions identified in the plan of care
- Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
- Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization
- Provide patient and family health education and health assessment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certified
- Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
- Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families regarding disease nature and proper care instructions
- Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
