About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
  • Collect patient health data and analyze to determine diagnoses and identify expected outcomes
  • Develop a plan of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
  • Implement interventions identified in the plan of care
  • Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
  • Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization
  • Provide patient and family health education and health assessment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program
  • Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
  • CPR/BLS certified
  • Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
  • Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families regarding disease nature and proper care instructions
  • Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
