About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensures, organizes, and maintains an active, accurate, and operational surgery schedule
- Responsible for training new staff members
- Maintains performance that meets corporate and department standards including productivity, QA and attendance
- Initiates C-9s with the Ohio BWC and monitors approved visits
- Participates/supports OSUWMC Communication and Marketing initiatives
- Manage daily clinic schedules and work with management and clinical teams
- Serve as a point of contact for patients/families
- Resolve complex customer issues in timely manner
- Participate in development and implementation of initiatives to improve operational processes
- Act as floor leader to staff by providing feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma
- 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year of employment as a Surgical Scheduler with OSUP or equivalent experience at OSU within the last year
