About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensures, organizes, and maintains an active, accurate, and operational surgery schedule
  • Responsible for training new staff members
  • Maintains performance that meets corporate and department standards including productivity, QA and attendance
  • Initiates C-9s with the Ohio BWC and monitors approved visits
  • Participates/supports OSUWMC Communication and Marketing initiatives
  • Manage daily clinic schedules and work with management and clinical teams
  • Serve as a point of contact for patients/families
  • Resolve complex customer issues in timely manner
  • Participate in development and implementation of initiatives to improve operational processes
  • Act as floor leader to staff by providing feedback

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma
  • 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of employment as a Surgical Scheduler with OSUP or equivalent experience at OSU within the last year
