About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with direct patient care and perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature
  • Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients
  • Room patients, measure and record vital signs
  • Complete patient interview and history
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments and explain procedures
  • Assist with procedures as ordered by the physician
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine, and sputum from patients and perform routine laboratory tests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR Military Medic training OR EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
  • Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
