About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist management in the day to day operations of the clinic operation as it pertains to the medical support role and patient care.
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills and expertise of all relevant systems and processes.
- Model, train, and promote high functioning clinical support staff from all experience levels.
- Lead the day to day work and productivity of patient care staff.
- Advise and assist staff on problem solving patient/customer concerns; as well as address issues associated with clinic operations.
- Perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol.
- Serve as clinical preceptor to enhance training and improve any skill deficiency amongst staff.
- Aid management in areas such as scheduling, daily work assignments, hiring, training, performance management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years Certification or 7 years of Medical Assistant Overall experience
- Internal Candidates Certification AND 2 years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role OR 2 Years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role AND A minimum of 7 years prior MA experience, may be inclusive of internal or external experience
- Current BLS Certification preferred
- Experience with EMR
