About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assisting management in the day to day operations of the clinic operation as it pertains to the medical support role and patient care.
- Demonstrates strong clinical skills and expertise of all relevant systems and processes.
- Models, trains, and promotes high functioning clinical support staff from all experience levels.
- Successfully performs the responsibilities of a Senior Medical Assistant.
- Leads the day to day work and productivity of patient care staff.
- Advises and assists staff on problem solving patient/customer concerns; as well as addresses issues associated with clinic operations.
- Performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol.
- Serves as clinical preceptor to enhance training and improve any skill deficiency amongst staff.
- Aids management in areas such as scheduling, daily work assignments, hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, and identifying areas for service or operational improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certification AND 2 years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role OR 2 Years of tenure with OSUP, with one year being in a Senior role AND A minimum of 7 years prior MA experience, may be inclusive of internal or external experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Experience with EMR
- Medical Assistant Certification
