About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with direct patient care
Perform specialized medical procedures of a routine nature
Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients
Room patients, measure and record vital signs
Complete patient interview and history
Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments
Assist with procedures as ordered by physician
Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients
Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent
A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR at least 1 year of medical assisting experience OR Military Medic training OR EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
