Senior Cardiovascular Sonographer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform diagnostic vascular examinations, utilizing equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical pathological and functional data of the vascular system
- Recognized as clinical experts in the field of Vascular Sonography, performing high skill level ultrasound exams (mesenteric and renal arteries)
- Participate in the lab accreditation process as well as the quality improvement/assurance process
- Provide education and training to sonographers
- Serve as a professional and technical role model for staff
- Travel to satellite locations and clinic sites may be necessary to perform job duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of accredited (CAAHEP) ultrasound program (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent education and experience
- Current RVT and BCLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a vascular sonographer
- Vascular ultrasound experience including working knowledge of ultrasound equipment (imagers and physiological)
- Thorough knowledge of, and ability to consistently perform high skill level exams (mesenteric and renal arteries) that correlate with other modalities (CT, angiography, surgery)
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous learning through willingness to attend and participate at conferences
