About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with direct patient care and specialized medical procedures
- Assist medical and nursing staff in examinations and treatments
- Room patients and measure vital signs
- Complete patient interviews and history
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures
- Assist with procedures as ordered by physician
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR
- Military Medic training OR
- EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR
- Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
- Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
