About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Lead Advanced Practice Provider within the Neurological Institute can be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • The Lead APP works with departmental, divisional and APP leadership and will function as a liaison
  • mentoring, continued education, and on-boarding roles for other advanced practice providers
  • Administrative and reporting responsibilities as per division
  • Interacts with the division workforce at large on issues related to advanced practice providers
  • Assigns responsibility for mentoring advanced practice providers
  • Provides clinical leadership and mentoring in matters relating to advanced practice and the professional development of APRNs or PAs
  • Collaborates with a physician(s) & other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care
  • Focus is on preventive health or the management of stable chronic conditions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN-CNP in the State of Ohio required
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing or Medicine.
