About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Lead Advanced Practice Provider within the Neurological Institute can be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
The Lead APP works with departmental, divisional and APP leadership and will function as a liaison
mentoring, continued education, and on-boarding roles for other advanced practice providers
Administrative and reporting responsibilities as per division
Interacts with the division workforce at large on issues related to advanced practice providers
Assigns responsibility for mentoring advanced practice providers
Provides clinical leadership and mentoring in matters relating to advanced practice and the professional development of APRNs or PAs
Collaborates with a physician(s) & other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care
Focus is on preventive health or the management of stable chronic conditions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN-CNP in the State of Ohio required
Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing or Medicine.
