Senior Client Accountant
OgierExperienced Senior Client Accountant role at Ogier, managing client's accounting functions and strengthening auditor and client relationships. Supporting junior team members and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors
- Strengthen relationships with clients and internal teams
- Review the work of bookkeepers
- Produce annual financial statements and management accounts
- Manage daily accounting activities for a range of clients
- Support audit preparation and assist with management of audits
- Monitor and track financial information preparation progress
- Prepare accurate routine month end and quarter end management accounts
- Identify opportunities for improvements in processes and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls
- Support, mentor, and guide junior team members
- Take on additional responsibilities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- Proven experience in client accounting or accounts preparation
- Diligent and organised working style
- Client-facing experience required
- Knowledge of Real Estate, Private Wealth, or Corporate accounting environments advantageous
- Experience with Caseware or Viewpoint beneficial but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Strong communication, time management, and prioritisation skills
