About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing the day‑to‑day integrity of client ledgers and reviewing bookkeeper input
- Preparing routine month‑end and quarter‑end management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Preparing annual financial statements
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting workings
- Acting as the central point of contact for external auditors
- Preparing and reviewing audit support schedules and documentation
- Tracking and monitoring the preparation of financial information
- Developing strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and service line development
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant policies, procedures, and controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Studying towards an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Ideally a few years’ experience
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Proactive attitude
- Experience in client accounting or accounts preparation is preferred
- Knowledge of Real Estate, Private Wealth, Corporate, or Debt Capital Markets accounting environments is desirable but not essential
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills
- Ability to prioritise competing demands
